How many girls were in your cabin?
There were six girls, including me.
Tell me about some of your favorite things from camp.
I really liked the wagon ride that was pulled by horses. They had a little donkey that walked behind the wagon. He was so cute!
I really liked the food. My favorite was the first night, when we had hot dogs, hamburgers, and brownies.

I really liked all the new games I learned, like Froggy, Fishy Come Swim In My Sea, Cat & Mouse, and parachute games.
Did you see anything new at camp?
We went on a nature hike down to look for stream critters, and on the way back we saw a really big crayfish. He was really cool!

I really, really liked the campfires and the skits that the counselors would do.
Did you do candlepower?
We did candlepower before bed. We did a new tradition called roses, rosebuds and thorns. We talked about thorns, which was a part of our day that we didn't like so much. And every girl would tell about a rose, which was something they liked about their day. Then we talked about rosebuds, which was something we were looking forward to tomorrow. Then we prayed together before bed.
Was there anything you didn't get to do, that you'd like to do next time?
We didn't get to swim in the lake, because it started raining. But we ran through the rain and jumped in mud puddles anyway. So I'd like to swim in the lake when I go back next year.

So altogether, Jewel had a great time at camp. My Boy enjoyed a few days of having Momma all to himself, but we were all glad to see her come home. Haven Homestead just isn't the same without her.
Thanks for checking in to see how her time at camp went!
